David A. Emerine Sr., 74, went to be with his Savior in his sleep at home, Friday morning, October 14, 2016. David was born in Warren, OH on August 2, 1942; a son of the late Joseph Emerine and Fanny (Ashland) Emerine. He was a 1960 graduate of Champion High School and was an Auto Mechanic in the Champion area for 40 years until he retired. He was a member of the Lordstown Christian Church and well known for his philanthropic community service. In his early years, he participated in racing cars. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan. But most of all he was huge on family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and loved to travel with his wife; especially to Hawaii and Georgia. David will be deeply missed by his wife Nancy (Cook) Emerine, whom he married on November 21, 2015; his children, Amy (Jeff) Elston of Myrtle Beach, SC, Kim Comanescu, of Warren, OH, David (Tina) Gallison of Cortland, OH, Tricia (Roy) Hites of Mecca, OH, and Debra Gallison of Newton Falls, OH; two brothers, Richard (Charleen) Emerine of Florida and Ardie (Jan) Emerine of Champion, OH; one sister, Patty Morrell of Hubbard, OH; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces , and nephews. Besides his parent, he was preceded in death by his two sons, David Emerine Jr. and Todd Emerine. Family will receive friends from 5-7:00PM on Tuesday October 18, 2016 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts Clark Chapel located at 180 Garfield Dr. SE Warren, OH 44483. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday October 19, 2016 at 12:00PM at Lordstown Christian Church located at 6370 Todd Ave. SW Warren, OH 44481. Memorial contributions can be made to Lordstown Christian Church in David's memory.
