Kathryn L. Marburger, age 89, of Niles, passed away suddenly Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Kathryn was born May 10, 1927 in Connoquenessing, a borough in Butler County, Pennsylvania, to the late Lester and Elizabeth (Miller) Rader. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and had previously attended First Baptist Church. Kathryn chose to look on the sunny side of life. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She volunteered for many years at Hillside Hospital. She also helped with Awana clubs for over 15 years and she especially enjoyed teaching the younger children in the Sparks program. She worked for over 17 years for the Niles City Schools in the cafeteria. Kathryn freely shared her gratefulness to God for His many blessings to her and her family. Kathryn is survived by her children, Joy (Larry) Harkleroad, Hope (Jerry) Gilchrist, Douglas Marburger, Richard Marburger, Kenneth (Selina) Marburger, Gary (Heidi) Marburger, Tim (Debbie) Marburger, and Brian (Suzanne) Marburger; 22 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and her faithful furry companion, Honey. Besides her parents, Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband, Clell Marburger, in 1977; her brother Howard Rader, daughter-in-law Teresa Marburger, and granddaughter, Savannah Marburger. Friends may call from 5-8 pm TODAY, November 29 at the Lane Funeral Home, Niles Chapel, 415 Robbins Avenue, Niles. Friends may also call from 10:30 am – 12:00 on Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church, 1401 Shaw Road, Niles, where Pastor Gary Marburger will officiate the funeral service at Noon. Interment will be at Pineview Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church.
