Rick L. Field, 73 of Champion Township, died Wednesday evening, August 9, 2017, at his home in Champion. He was born May 3, 1944 in Albright, West Virginia the son of the late Denzil Felix and Sara Elizabeth Laraway Field. He had been a Champion resident most of his life. Rick was a 1962 graduate ofr Champion High School. He retired in 2001 from Copperweld-CSC Steel, where he worked for 35 years as a millwright. Previously, he had worked for the Woodward Heating and Cooling Company. Rick was a member of Bazetta Christian Church, Carroll F. Clapp Masonic Lodge No. 655, the High Twelve Masonic Club at Copperweld and was a 32nd degree mason in the Scottish Rite Valley of Youngstown. He was an avid reader and enjoyed word search puzzles and yardwork. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and playing sports with them. Rick is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joyce Ann Graham Field, whom he married April 30, 1966; one daughter, Tracey E. (David) Bartholomew of Bazetta; one grandson, Alec and one granddaughter, Tiffany Bartholomew; one sister, Judy (George) Miller of Warren and one brother, Larry (Dawn) Field of Champion. One son, Christopher John Field preceded him in death in 1999 and one brother, Gary Field also preceded in death. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Christopher Chuirazzi and Cheryl and Heidi with Ohio Living Hospice for their compassionate and loving care shown to Rick. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren with Pastor Sandy Downs officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where Carroll F. Clapp Lodge will conduct masonic services at 4:45 p.m. Burial will be at Champion Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Living Hospice, 6715 Tippecanoe Rd., Bldg, E., Suite 201, Canfield, OH 44406.
